Dr Matthew Beasley - Honorary President
Dr Beasley was instrumental in starting TCSW along with Judith and has been a staunch supporter ever since.
Dr Beasley is Consultant Clinical Oncologist & Clinical Head of the Molecular Radiotherapy Unit at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre.
Judith - Chairperson
Judith started TCSW after her experiences of being diagnosed and treated with thyroid cancer.
Judith is a retired teacher who lives in West Somerset and has 4 daughters, 11 grandchildren and a cat.
James - Vice Chair
James joined TCSW to support his partner's mother after she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.... spoiler alert - his partner's mother is Judith our chair.
James lives in Gloucestershire with his partner and 3 children. As well as supporting TCSW James is a school governor at 3 Gloucestershire primary schools
Bob - Treasurer
Bob has been our treasurer since we became a charity thanks to his vast experience in both business and charity sectors.
Bob himself had thyroid cancer and saw this group as a way of supporting others going through the same.

Kat - Welfare officer
Kat joined TCSW after her diagnosis and treatment in 2015. Kat lives in Devon with her husband and two young children. Kat loves a challenge and, since her treatment, has climbed Mt Kilimanjaro.
Julia - Secretary
Julia joined TCSW at the Charity’s formation following her husband Stephen’s diagnosis and treatment of Papillary Thyroid Cancer in 2015 and lives in Wiltshire with their son and daughter, who are both currently at University. Julia wanted to help support patients diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and their families while they are going through the same experiences her husband and fam
Sue - Trustee
Our newest committee member Sue recently joined us after retiring from the NHS. Sue spent her entire career working in the field of Oncology, in the UK and Canada, her final role being as the manager of Molecular Radiotherapy in Bristol.
Sue lives in Bristol, and is enjoying her retirement. She is keen to continue her support of TCSW and is delighted to join the team.
